Parraid’s high performance multi-band telemetry receiver two-channel decom is designed for portable ground-based data processing and storage. With the powerful OMEGA NExT Real-time Telemetry Processing software, the X-5000 offers instrumentation and telemetry engineers an ideal solution for portable real-time telemetry data applications and can process the most complex PCM data formats.

Parraid’s high performance multi-band telemetry receiver-decom is designed for comprehensive portable ground station data processing. It may be carried in a bag with a lap-top computer or mounted in a 19” portable or fixed equipment rack. It supports two simultaneous L, S, and/or C-Band telemetry signal inputs along with IRIG A, B, and G, modulated time code carrier input. It includes “hot mic” audio signal output for each PCM stream, and industry-standard Chapter 10 data packet output, configurable for TCP/IP and UDP, over a standard 1G Ethernet port provided with industry-standard RJ 45 connection. Two-stream decommutation may be programmed for any IRIG Chapter 4, Chapter 7, and Chapter 8, signal type. When used in conjunction with the OMEGA NExT data processing software operators can process the most complex PCM-embedded formats. Ease of Operation 

The X-5000 represents a breakthrough in portable PCM processing functionality. By connecting the light-weight X-5000 to any commercial PC or laptop, using a standard 1GB Ethernet port and cable, users have at their command an integrated PCM processing front-end solution capable of operating at up to 20 Mbps with RF signal inputs. Included with the X-5000 Receiver-Decom is a Windows graphical user interface (GUI) that provides all Receiver and Decom controls. The provided software includes signal spectral display and a received signal strength indication.

Performance

The X-5000 Receiver’s low noise figure and integrated high–performance variable rate PCM bit synchronization combine to provide an affordable, compact package that can match or exceed some lab-based ground stations. The X-5000 excels in harsh noise environments and provides support for extreme signal-to-noise conditions when attached to high gain antenna systems. No-latency Hot Mic outputs are included for PCM-embedded CVSD and analog audio channels.

Flexibility 

The compact X-5000 fits easily into a carrying bag for a laptop computer can be coupled with the Parraid software products for to provide a best-value solution for telemetry system engineers and integrators. The X-5000 has its own embedded processor and Real Time Operating System (RTOS) which provides Ethernet communication for setup and data transfer to a host PC. Multiple X-5000 systems can be synchronized together with an external 10 MHz clock and Ethernet hub in order to provide more than two PCM streams to the host computer for processing and display.
